Charlie Britt launched TheGroundsCrew in 2004 focusing on residential lawn service and snow removal for his neighbors in Burnsville. As a fully licensed, insured and bonded company, the business soon began to expand to other cities in the south metro area. By 2006, through quality work and exceptional service, Charlie expanded his startup from purely residential to commercial property as well. With over a decade in experience today, Charlie has led TheGroundsCrew to become one of leading full service property maintenance companies in the Twin Cities.
In an effort to be a full service provider, the company has expanded its services to include landscaping and exterior / interior painting. We’ve recently partnered with Banks, Property Preservation Companies and Realtors to service foreclosures as part of the property’s staging for sale. We are proud of the work we do restoring these homes and the role it has in keeping our neighborhoods safe and looking pristine.
This expansion, as well as being a lifelong resident of the area, allows for a wide range of business contacts. We are always expanding our network of contractors in order to extend our ability to handle many aspects of real estate related projects and ongoing maintenance. We can now handle almost every aspect of your properties regular maintenance needs. Our network of contractors covers everything from weekly lawn service in Eden Prairie with our partners at Yale Creek SC, to tree removal in Rosemount. Here are just a few of the services we offer:
- Weekly Lawn Service
- Seasonal Snow Removal
- Tree Removal
- Fertilization Needs
- Spring and Fall Clean Ups
- Exterior / Interior Painting
- Deck Maintenance
Meet the team.
President, Landscaping Manager
Charlie was born in Edina and grew up in Burnsville playing soccer, hockey, and golf. After high school, he took a summer job in the lawn care and landscaping industry and was drawn to it right away. He enjoyed the always changing office view, being outside, and the gratification of seeing the results of his hard work.
With Charlie’s mother being an entrepreneur, he was always interested in starting his own business. After a few years in the industry in 2004, he did just that with a truck, a trailer, and an aerator the first fall. He now lives in Minneapolis and spends his free time golfing, traveling, and learning about business.
